Retrospective Study of The Outcome of Primary Repair of Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF) Aneurysm and Pseudoaneurysm in Secondary Hospital Setting

Aneurysms and pseudoaneurysm are commonly encountered with arteriovenous vascular access for haemodialysis. They difficult complications to manage. Due the limited number of centers available, patients were unable seek treatment until further arise. The technique partial aneurysmectomy primary repair was adopted as method in this study. A total 20 cases underwent surgery from 2019 2020. Among cases, one patient had two pseudoaneurysms at different location which requires her undergo procedure twice. successful cannulation rate post 70% whereas overall complication 35% might be attributed small sample size. Overall, study demonstrated that AVF aneurysm can safely treated approach done effectively non-vascular by general surgeons. Keywords: pseudoaneurysm, repair, fistula
